Control access in Melt Code by assigning roles to your team. Restrict sensitive settings to Admins and grant appropriate access to Users. Proper role assignment ensures your team has the right permissions while avoiding unnecessary billing charges.

Types of User Roles

Melt Code User

Can perform AI code searches for assigned state codes; access Melt Code features

Occupies a seat based on the number of states assigned; directly affects billing

Quick Note
Only Melt Code Users consume paid seats. Admins who don’t perform AI code searches or access paid features don’t count toward your subscription’s seat allocation.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • User still seeing Admin features: Refresh the page or log out and log back in.

  • Cannot assign role: Ensure you are logged in as a Super Admin or User Admin.

  • User access doesn’t reflect seat allocation: Confirm that the user has been assigned as a Melt Code User with state codes.
